# Introduction

> CaseDock brings public missing and unidentified person records together with tools to search, map, cross-reference, and review them.

CaseDock is an independent research tool for exploring public missing-person and unidentified-person records. It combines records from [NamUs](https://www.namus.gov/) and [the Doe Network](https://www.doenetwork.org/) in one place, with tools to search, map, organize, and review them. Every record links back to its original source.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Leads are not identifications. Similarity scores and AI summaries are research aids, never proof of a match. Always verify details with the original agency or source.
