# Evidence and case details

> Retrieve normalized public evidence and Doe Network details for a case.

## Case evidence

GET /api/cases/evidence
```

**caseId** `string` *required*

The case ID, for example `namus-123`.

**caseNumber** `string` *required*

The source case number.

**source** `string` *required*

`namus` or `doe-network`.

**recordType** `string` *required*

`missing` or `unidentified`.

The response provides normalized evidence fields and a `reportedDetails` array of additional publicly reported source fields, each with a `label` and `value`. Fields the source doesn't publish are omitted. Use the case record's `sourceUrl` to verify current information.

## Doe Network details

```

For Doe Network records only.
